Let's Build the 2050 EUtopian Smart City

 We have appeared in "La Palanca", our local magazine!! Now everybody from Artesa de Segre know about our project! So proud of belonging to such an amazing team!

In the technology and the robotics classes our students have started building the model of our smart city. It's so much fun using recycled materials, painting, cutting, pasting and being able to putting all the ideas into practice! Looking forwards to getting into international teams to learn more about you all!

 We tried to build our smart city models with legos and cartoon houses that our students built.

 We talked about smart cities in the class. We tried to understand why Berlin is smart city and prepared a ppt about Berlin.

 We had the second teachers' meeting. It was very effective and useful.

I am afraid  we have to say YESSSS!!! These past two weeks we have been kind of busy preparing our oral presentations on London as a smart city. We have learned a lot and we are eager to start building the model of our smart city with all the ideas we have come across, but first, we want to share them with our etwinning partners. ☺☺☺ Today some students of year 7 class 2 D drew some ideal city for our project.  

    This morning students tried to build the first part of our ideal city considering our own town Bernalda.The Maths teacher Mr Giannini helped two students(Marco Giannini e MArco Uricchio class 3 D ) to do it.The tool is called sketchup in 3D  

 A local newspaper called IL CALEIDOSCOPIO  wrote a brief article about our project and after that our school posted it on our fb page https://wp.me/pakE1M-r66

This week the students have designed simple proposals to incorporate sensors into everyday life and improve our environment. I share some videos with you. The students are in a very creative moment.

Today at 1.50 pm ,The cass II C  ended the  lesson about Mancher and "Cityverve".It was only possible to work in class because of pandemic .Now  it's our turn to draw and explain Manchester and techonologies used to get it as a smart city. Hello , today we started working about Manchester as smart city...new words Triangulum,cityverve and so on .What an amazing world  

This week we have been talking about two different concepts: the concept of what we think it is an ideal or perfect city versus the concept of "smart city" and we have reached the conclusion that, like us, every smart city dreams of improving the quality of life of its inhabitants. After doing some research on what has been done so far in Barcelona (our nearest big city) to make the city smarter, we have been noting down some ideas that we will try to include in our future EUtopian Smart city.
